The Nacra 450's buoyancy surpassed that of other catamarans in it's size range. Kick-up rudders (in option) make for simple beaching and shallow water sailing. A wide beam and jib blocks mounted on the front crossbar make for an uncluttered and therefore more comfortable trampoline.

A boomless sailplan allows for easy control. The jib makes for a quick tacking and maneuvering.
